Charles Know ye that for
and in Consideration that Andrew Dorsey of Baltimore County in our said
Province of Maryland hath due unto him fifty Acres of Land within our said
Province of Maryland by virtue of a warrant for that quantity granted him
the twenty seventh Day of September Seventeen hundred and forty eight as
appeared in our Land Office and upon such Conditions and Terms as are
Expressed in our Condition of Plantation of our said province bearing Date
the fifth Day of April Sixteen hundred and eighty-four and remaining upon
record in our said province, Together with such Allocations as in them are
made by our further Conditions bearing date to the fourth day of December
Sixteen hundred ninety six Together also with the Allocations made by our
Instruction bearing Date at London the twelth Day of September Seventeen
hundred and twelve and registered in our Secretarys Office of our said
Province Together with a paragraph of our Instrutions Caring Date at
London the Fifteenth Day of December Seventeen hundred and thirty eight
and Registered in our Land Office We do therefore hereby grant unto him
the said Andrew Dorsey all that Tract or parcel of Land called Dorseys
Prospect lying in the County aforesaid Beginning at the three bounded Oaks
standing at the mouth of a small draft at the head of the White Marshes
which descend into Deleware falls and running thus North thirty one
degrees West thirty six perches South seventy five degrees west Twenty six
perches South twenty one degrees West one hundred and forty five perches
South seventeen degrees East sixty perches and thus with a Straight line
to the Beginning Continuing and laid out for fifty acres more or less
according to the Certificate of Survey thereof taken and returned into our
Land bearing Date the twenty fifth Day March Seventeen hundred and forty
nine and the remaining together with all Rights Profits Benefits and
Privileges thereunto belonging Royal Mines Excepted To have and to hold
the same unto him the said Andrew Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns forever to
beholdon of us and our Heirs as of our manor of Baltimore in free and
common Sociass?? By loyalty only for all manner of Services yielding and
paying therefore yearly unto us and our Heirs at our Receipt at our City
of St. Marys at the two most usual Feasts in the year Viz. The Feast of
Annunciation of the Blessed virgin Mary and St. Michael the Arch Angel by
even and equal portion the Rent of Two Shillings Sterling in Silver or
Gold and for a upon every Alienation of the said Land or any part or
parcel thereof one whole year Rent in Silver or Gold on the full value
thereof in such Commondities as we and our Heirs or such Officer or
officers as shall be appointed by us and our Heirs from time to time to
collect and receive the same shall accept in discharge thereof at the
Choice of us and our Heirs or such officer or Officers aforesaid Provided
the if the said Sum for a Time for Alienation shall not be paid unto us
and our Heirs or such Officer or Officers aforesaid before such Alienation
and the said Alienation and or upon record either in the provincial Court
or County Court where the same parcel of Land hath within one month next
after such Alienation than th paid Alienation shall be void and of no
Effect Given under our Great Seal of our said province of Maryland this
twenty fifth Day of March Annos Don Seventeen hundred and forty nine

chief Govornor of our said province of Maryland Chancellor and Keeper of
the Great Seal thereof.
