folder in the genealogy section of the Salisbury, North Carolina Library
by Elmer L. Dorsey of Hendersonville, North Carolina sometime before his
death in 1995. November 2004, Salisbury, NC. |

The top of the third page of this document has
suffered from multiple photocopying. Unfortunately, the content
therein is critical to the argument that Andrew Dorsey who owned Dorseys
Prospect in Maryland was the same Andrew Dorsey who died in Rowan County,
NC in 1777 and whose wife Patience was named administrator of his estate
in 1778.
Close scrutiny shows the first and second
lines to read: John his heirs and assigns forever. And at the
Sametime Came Patience wife to the
within Andrew and being privately Examined out of hearing of her
said husband Acknowledged her Right of Dower to the . . . . |
